Welcome to Self-Love Journaling with God

Hello, God’s beauties, I’m Shawnda, the host of the Self-Love Journaling with God Podcast and a licensed clinical therapist, blogger, and aspiring writer.

But more than that, I’m a woman walking my own self-love path with God, one journal page, one prayer, and one honest reflection at a time.

Journaling has helped me slow down, notice what I’m feeling, bring my emotions before God, and let His truth speak louder than fear and self-doubt. And as you walk with me in this space, my prayer is that you will learn to process the emotions that can leave us feeling helpless, stuck, or unsure of what to do next.

I truly believe this journey was never meant to be walked alone.

The faith-rooted journaling practices, Scripture reflections, and CBT-informed tools I share here have helped me, shaped me, and supported my own growth. And I believe they will serve you well, too, as you learn to see yourself through God’s love.

What You’ll Find Here

Here, the main heart work is learning to process your emotions with God through various journaling methods I have created to meet you where you are, rather than pushing them down, ignoring them, or letting them take over.

We slow down and make space for the feelings many women carry quietly: shame, anxiety, rejection, sadness, anger, self-doubt, and negative self-talk.

Through Scripture reflections, journaling prompts, prayer, praise, CBT-informed tools, affirmations, and guided heart work, you will learn how to name what you feel, understand where it may be coming from, and bring it before God with honesty and care.

Processing an emotion does not mean you never feel it again. It means the emotion no longer has to control your thoughts, your choices, or how you see yourself.

It can look like having peace after naming what hurt you.
It can look like recognizing a trigger without spiraling.
It can look like replacing shame with truth.
It can look like saying, “This feeling is real, but it is not my identity.”

This space helps you keep healing one honest page, one prayer, and one truth at a time.

Why This Space May Be the Best Place for You

Because you may not need another place telling you to “just love yourself.”

You may need a space where you can understand why that has been so hard.

You may need a space that says, “Let’s slow down and look at the thought underneath that feeling.”

You may need a space that gently asks, “Where did you learn to talk to yourself that way?”

You may need a space that reminds you, “Your emotions are not too much for God.”

That is what we do here.

We journal.
We pray.
We reflect.
We notice patterns.
We bring our thoughts into the light.
We practice speaking truth over the places shaped by fear, shame, rejection, and criticism.

One page.
One prayer.
One truth at a time.

Ready to Go Deeper?

Let’s talk about the deeper space.

You could spend around $15 on a beautiful journal with blank pages, and there is nothing wrong with that. I love a good journal.

But sometimes blank pages are not enough.

Sometimes you open the journal and think, “Okay… but where do I start?”

That is where the paid experience comes in.

For just $7 a month, paid subscribers receive more than blank pages. You receive an interactive journaling experience designed to help you continue your self-love journey with God in a guided, practical, and encouraging way.

Inside the paid space, you will have access to deeper support, such as:

Self-paced journaling experiences when you want to move through heart work quietly, at your own rhythm.

Live chats and community conversations where we process faith, emotions, journaling, and growth together.

Journal pocket guides that give you simple, quick tools you can return to when you feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure what to write.

A new monthly journal insert focused on real-life topics like shame, anxiety, negative self-talk, emotional exhaustion, rejection, identity, people-pleasing, and rebuilding self-worth.

The 72 Binge eCourses are designed to help you go deeper without feeling overwhelmed.

Scripture reflections, guided prompts, workbook-style pages, and monthly chat discussions to help you apply what you are learning in real life.

And you are not doing it alone.

You are walking alongside a community of God’s beauties who are also learning how to heal, grow, journal, pray, and see themselves through God’s love.

This side of the journey is what I call the VIP Experience, where V.I.P. means:

Voice — learning how to stop silencing yourself and start naming what you feel.
Identity — learning how to see yourself through God’s truth, not shame.
Purpose — learning how to walk forward with more clarity, confidence, and peace.

This is where we go beyond inspiration.

We create space for deeper healing, honest reflection, and intentional growth with God.

So, welcome again to Self-Love Journaling with God.

A gentle place to bring what you feel, remember who you are, and let God’s truth meet you on the page.

You don’t have to rush the journey.
You just have to begin.

One page.
One prayer.
One truth at a time.
